Third Role Revealed – A Male Mercedes!
A few weeks ago, Ausiello revealed two of the three new roles which will be cast in the the nationwide casting search. One was a jock boyfriend for Kurt, the second was an “Eve Harrington-esque” rival for Rachel The third has just been revealed – it’s a male Mercedes!
“The third role is an R&B-singing teen. A male Mercedes!” Says Ryan Murphy to Ausiello.
Excited yet, gleeks?! Well, chances are this character could be a love interest for Mercedes as well as her male counterpart. Ausiello cleverly hid the spoiler beneath asterisks – but we decoded it for you. :) “Kurt isn’t the only seemingly celibate Glee character getting a love interest next season!”

Looks like Kurts boyfriend is the one out of the three I can go for. I’m no girl to compete with Lea and I am sure I cannot be like Amber Riley in the R&B department. A Jock-gay boyfriend for kurt? Yes I can =)
So i’m a little bummed right now only because that means instead of 3 shots, I only have one since i’m a girl. I’m sure thousands if not millions will audition for that one part. Yikes! Oh well, I will give it my all anyway. Good luck to all.

@Niki I was thinking the exact same thing! I was hoping the girl role would be a misfit teen instead of a confident, super talented one! I’m still going to try too, but now it’ll just be for fun I suppose. Good luck to you!

All this stufff (lovers) seem to be happening to the cast of glee. But what about Cory’s character?
@Jen I agree with you. I, too, was hoping the third role would be a misfit type character. Eh, oh well…but like you guys have been saying, it shall be tons of fun and it never hurts to try! Break a leg everyone!
I am so excited that Kurt is getting a jock boyfriend. As a gay 21 year old, there is so few “positive” gay role models in the media today.

Heres the thing… I really was hoping to have a shot at being able to audition for Glee, when i saw the 1st two slots i was a little bummed and finally the last one came a few days ago and It was like a sign that this is meant for Me. I think I am “fit” for the Part. I feel as though I have alot going for me as I am Husky, stylish, and a powerful r&b style singer. I feel the part was made just for me. how do i get more info in auditions?

Yea! Two very large guys parts…one small problem- I’ve been hearing that some people are thinking that Glee is racist. I don’t agree, but there are quite a few white guys on the show…
Mhm… so I can only audition for Mercedes’s bf or Kurt’s bf. I could definitely audition for both, but I dunno if they would want a white guy for Mercedes… Like, I’m at the opposite end of the spectrum from her: super white.
And as for Kurt’s boyfriend… I’m okay with it, but my family and friends are really homophobic. Dunno if they’d understand its only a role, but… I’m still trying out.
