Special ‘Glee’ Clothing Line hits Macy’s!
Who needs the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? (Remember this?) The official Glee clothing line hits stores August 15th at Macy’s stores nationwide!
To promote the eagerly anticipated second season of Glee, Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Macy’s announced the launch of their exclusive Glee clothing line! The line, hitting all Macy’s locations, will translate the pop culture phenomenon into the year’s ultimate shopping experience with branded vignettes and front-of-store window placement.
The flashy new apparel will include t-shirts, fashion tops and hoodies priced from $19.99-$34.99. The array will include music-inspired designs (similar to the “Music is My Life” shirts sold at the live concerts!) and sporty athletic apparel. It offers fashion for every type of Gleek!
“Glee fans or ‘Gleeks’, just don’t watch the show – they live it. This retail launch will provide fans a very personal way to extend the Glee experience and express their own Glee personality,” said Robert Marick, EVP of Fox Consumer Products. “Macy’s has treated this launch as the kind of event that is a true homage to the show.”
“In just a short period of time, Glee has inspired millions of fans,” said Martine Reardon, Macys’ executive vice president of marketing. “It is our goal to extend that excitement to the Macy’s customer with the products we’ll be showcasing in our stores. There’s something so refreshing about Glee, and we are committed to channeling that into exclusive fashion merchandise that will impassion Glee fans across the country.”
A few of the Macy’s will feature a creative Glee-themed window display program, which will highlight scenes from the show as well as some actual Glee costumes. Herald Square, New York; Union Square, California; State Street, Illinois; Miami Dadeland, Florida; South Coast Plaza, Orange County and the Beverly Center in Los Angeles will all include these features.
The Beverly Center will also be home to a special fan event on August 21 from 2:00-4:00PM. Heather Morris, Kevin McHale, and Jenna Ushkowitz will all be attending.
If it isn’t enough to trumpet your Gleek pride to the world, you’ll also be able to in take part in Glee-related activities in the juniors section of Macys.com! On September 14, the apparel, along with activities such as trivia, behind-the-scenes video, wallpaper, photo galleries and more, will be available on the website.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
