Lea Michele on Being a “TV Star”
Lea Michele spoke with NY Daily about what it’s like to be a “TV Star” and how she viewed TV stars when growing up. It’s actually a very nice article and definitely worth a read. :)
“I never really thought there would be a place on television for me,” Michele told the Daily News. “I have a very specific look. I’m Jewish. I’m Italian.”
And now, she is a television star. The Bronx-born, Tenafly-raised Michele leads the cast of “Glee” – the Fox musical comedy already considered one of the hottest shows of the upcoming television season.
“I remember growing up and watching television, and there would be so many shows where I said I wish I could be as beautiful as her, or as cool as her,” Michele says. “I remember looking up to Barbra Streisand, and thinking, ‘Finally, someone who has a Jewish nose, who didn’t get a nose job.’”
