Glee Cast to Perform in the UK for European Concert Tour – Summer 2011!

The Glee cast will be hitting up the UK this summer for a European concert tour, which doesn’t come as too much of a surprise due to the show’s insane popularity across the pond. The exciting news was revealed this morning on BBC’s Fearne Cotton’s Radio 1 show. With performances in Manchester, London, and Dublin, this will be Glee‘s first major European tour, and hopefully it will be as amazing as last summer’s concert tour in the USA. I personally saw the cast perform in NYC, and I was blown away. In a word? Epic. Sources are saying that this European tour will be a whole new production, and unlike the last tour, it will also include the latest addition to the cast, Darren Criss. So get ready, UK Gleeks!
Here’s a list of the dates courtesy of RyanSeacrest.com:
2011 Glee Live! In Concert! dates:
June 22 | Manchester, England | MEN Arena
June 25 | London, England | O2 Arena
June 26 | London, England | O2 Arena
July 2 | Dublin, Ireland | O2 Arena
July3 | Dublin, Ireland | O2 Arena
Glee creator Ryan Murphy says, “We had such a great time putting together last year’s shows and the response from the fans was incredible. People around the world want to see our cast live and in person, so this European tour is our way of thanking them for the unbelievable way they’ve embraced our little show.”
To all those (like myself) in the USA thinking what about us?, Murphy says, “And for everyone in America who has asked if we’ll be back to a city near them this summer, stay tuned. We’ll have some exciting news very soon.”
Tickets for the tour will be available to American Express Cardmembers on November 22, before going on sale to the general public on November 26 for £45 to £55. For more information, visit GleeTour.com.

glee is also very popular in the netherlands! Why do they call it a EUROPEAN concert tour if they’re only performing in the uk and ireland?
