Fox Announces “Tweet-peats” for Glee
Another Tweet-peat next week! Check out Fox’s Glee page for all the details!
Update: If you’re a fan of Glee on Facebook, check out these pics (and more) and this short video of the cast and crew getting ready for the east coast tweet-peat! Also, there are these two vids (beginning & end) for the west coast.
Are you excited for repeats of Glee on Fox? Well you should be! Fox has teamed up with Twitter and announced that repeats of episodes of Glee and Fringe are now “Tweet-peats”. During the re-run episodes, live Twitter feeds from the cast and crew will scroll across the bottom of the screen. Also, you can follow the Twitter feeds online and even tweet the cast live!
For Glee, the first Tweet-peat will be on Friday, Sept. 4th at 9/8c pm. They will re-air the pilot (with the extended pilot airing 2 days prior on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd) and some members of the cast will be tweeting along with behind the scenes info and maybe even a couple mini-spoilers. ;)
The east and west coast airings will have different tweeters, while the “heartland” will have the east coast tweets. The west coast airing will be tweeted by Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Amber Riley, and the east coast airing will be tweeted by Lea Michele, Kevin McHale and Mark Salling.
This new spin on repeats sounds pretty fun! Sound off with your opinion in the comments section below.

hey people the teat-peat is a little annoying. my family and i are try to wach the show but these teat-peats are taking up half of the screen. we would like to wach the show so please stop.
I like the idea, but the execution is a bit off! The tweets are really distracting from the show….they should figure out a way to make the words smaller…or….i dunno..just somehow less distracting!?
Dont ever do that again. I tried to get my bf to watch Glee and the tweets were so distracting he changed the channel after 20 minutes (and he was enjoying the show up to that point). It WAS really annoying. I know some executive thought this was a hip way to merge technologies, but all that innane chatter filling half the screen ruined the episode.
get off my screen! i got so annoyed i turned the show off and haven’t tuned back in. and that’s too bad b/c i actually liked the show.
