Chris Colfer named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2011
The amazingly talented Chris Colfer made the 2011 Time 100, Time Magazine‘s list of the 100 most influential people of 2011.
Through his role on Glee as Kurt Hummel, a gay teen suffering from bullying in high school, Chris has influenced millions across the world. Chris has been very outspoken about the bullying of gay students through his support of The Trevor Project, and he sends a positive message to anyone having a rough time fitting in, especially in high school.

Chris has wanted to be an actor, as he says, “since I was an embryo,” which gave him the determination to say, “Yes, I can,” despite the many who had said no. Chris, 20, lives by extreme truth, speaking out against the epidemic of bullying that he, too, faced in high school. The honesty that he infuses into his Glee character, Kurt, leaves you reeling. Our cast is blessed to hear things like “Your character has helped me through this, or helped me do that,” but none more so than Chris. To witness the power he gives to his audience firsthand? I have only recently had the great fortune to listen to Chris singing House is not a Home on the 3rd CD and just had to write to say what an extraordinarily beautiful voice he has. He reminds me of a young Barbara Streisand only more gentle and striking. And his rendition of Blackbird tonight had me in tears!! He should be doing more solos as he has, by far, the best voice in the show. He should also be snapped up by Broadway. Keep up the good work everyone……fabulous show.
