Will Schuester is about to get some competition in the form of a new Spanish teacher named David Martinez, played by Latin-American superstar Ricky Martin. In anticipation for this week’s episode where Mr. Martinez teaches Will some more Spanish skills and gives New Directions a singing lesson they’ll never forget, Glee posted the full video of Ricky singing the current chart topper “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO on their YouTube. Helen Mirren to Guest Star in Upcoming Episode “Yes/No” on Jan. 17th!

Helen Mirren arrives at 39th AFI Life Achievement AwardHelen Mirren, who most notably received an Oscar for her performance in the 2006 film The Queen, is confirmed to guest star on Glee. According to Michael Ausiello of TVline.com, Mirren (or at least her voice!) will make an appearance in the first episode back from the hiatus as a character’s conscience. An unnamed source revealed:

“Helen came in and secretly recorded several long and hilarious monologues two weeks ago,” says the source. “Then she visited the kids on set, and they had no idea she was coming; they were stunned.”

Like many of the other roles on Glee including Lea Michele‘s Rachel Berry, this role was specifically “was written for Mirren.” There is no word yet on which character Mirren’s voice will play inner monologues to, but personally I think it could be Ms. Emma Pillsbury. The episode is Wemma-centered with the episode titled “Yes/No.” Also, I believe Ms. Pillsbury is one of the only characters who has yet to have an inner monologue. Who do you think her voice will guide? Sound off in the comments below!

Watch 2 Preview Performances from “Extraordinary Merry Christmas”

Get the stockings and ugly sweaters ready for Tuesday’s all new Christmas themed episode! To get everyone in the holiday spirit, the Glee Vevo account uploaded two performances from the episode called “Extraordinary Merry Christmas.”

In my opinion, the performances are great and definitely put me in a cheerful mood. I can’t wait for the holidays to arrive!

Here is “All I Want For Christmas Is You” sung by the incredible Amber Riley.

Also, here is “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” which features the entire glee club!

A Tribute Episode for Michael Jackson is in the Works!

Posted by Mary on Dec-08-2011 under Glee Episode Previews, Glee Episode Spoilers, News

Photo Credit: FOX BroadcastingLooks like you better get your dancing shoes and white gloves out in anticipation for a Michael Jackson tribute episode! TV Guide revealed yesterday that the January 24th episode, will be a tribute to the King of Pop and will feature “10-12 songs from Jackson’s library.”

Jackson’s family have reportedly given their support to the episode, but only after some convincing from Ryan Murphy to make sure that MJ would be honored appropriately.

I personally can’t wait for this episode, since I am a big Michael Jackson fan, and if the performances are anything like last night’s Jackson-inspired Sectionals performance, it’ll definitely be worth the wait.

What’re your thoughts on the tribute episode?

Watch the Troubletones’ Sectionals Performance & the Return of Sam Evans!

Posted by Genica on Dec-02-2011 under Glee Episode Previews, Glee Episode Spoilers, Media, News, Videos

It looks like Santana is following the footsteps of her rumored mommy! The Troubletones’ Sectionals performance in the episode “Hold on to Sixteen” was just released on Glee’s Vevo account. It’s an epic mashup of the woman empowerment songs “Survivor” and “I Will Survive.” The former was originally sung by Destiny’s Child and the latter was orignally sung by Santana’s soon to be mom Gloria Estafen.

Not gonna lie, I’m not sure who I’m root for to win Sectionals. New Directions is my first love, but the Troubletones keeps nailing their performances. Plus, those outfits? Probably one of my favorites since season one’s Regionals.

Also released to Glee‘s Vevo was Sam Evan’s long awaited return to McKinley High. Sam played by Chord Overstreet sings the country song “Red Solo Cup” originally sung by Toby Keith’s. Check out both performances below:

I don’t know about you guys, but I am loving these weekly sneak peaks!

Episode VIII: A Gleeky Star Wars Christmas?

Chewbacca at Mckinley

A long time ago, in a galaxy state far, far away…

Chewbacca visits Lima, Ohio?

As a huge Star Wars fan, I was excited to check my GLEEonFOX Twitter list and find a Twitpic from Chord Overstreet revealing Chewbacca as the special guest for Season 3′s Christmas episode. Soon after Chord’s twitpic of Chewie in the middle of the Choir Room hit the web, the rest of the cast took to their Twitter’s to broadcast their excitement.

For Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron, and Jenna Ushkowitz the visit greatly impacted their lives.

Kevin tweeted:

So far this has been the best day ever.

Dianna, on the other hand, tweeted:

OK. Day made. Week made, actually.

Jenna took it one step further by saying it:

made my life!

Damian McGinty was equally excited and showed his geekier side:

Just had a serious fan boy moment this morning with @chordoverstreet …can’t believe who i just met!! @druidDUDE is in heaven!!

Check out Chewbacca’s photos with Kevin, Harry, Dianna, Chris, Jenna, and Mark as well as this awesome group photo.

Watch Glee’s Adele Mash-Up

Posted by Mary on Nov-10-2011 under Amber Riley, Cast & Crew, Glee Episode Previews, Media, Naya Rivera, News, Videos

After much hype, the performance of the Adele mash-up that features songs “Rumor Has It” and “Someone Like You” was released earlier today on YouTube. All I can say is wow.

The performance, sung by Amber Riley and Naya Rivera, was the 300th performance done on Glee! Writer Ali Adler tweeted earlier that what happens after the performance will be surprising! I personally think this is easily the best song Glee has ever done!

“Pot O’ Gold” Sneak Peek Video!

We are so close! After surviving three grueling weeks without our beloved show, only a few more days seperate us from being reunited with our favorite TV show, and it feels so good! To hold us over, Fox posted a new video introducing us to Rory Flanagan, the foreign exchange student played by The Glee Project winner Damian McGinty.

In the video, Damian discusses his time on The Glee Project, singing in front of the cast for the first time, and working on the show, which he says is “a dream.”

We already know that Rory is a foreign exchange student living with Brittany and that causes some tension between the Irishman and Santana. It’s safe to say that we can get ready for some hilarious one-liners from the queen of mean.

We are so excited for Tuesday! Are you excited for Damian’s arrival?

Rory Gets Roughed Up in Episode 4

Seems like Rory’s getting into some trouble upon his entry into McKinley! Damien McGinty’s character will not be welcomed to the halls of McKinley, according to a new photo released by Entertainment Weekly.

The photo shows McGinty’s character being shoved into a locker by the hockey players and judging by his face, he is certainly scared.

In August, McGinty spoke of his character saying that he will play a foreign exchange student that Brittany mistakes as a leprechaun.

What do you think about Rory?  Are you excited for his arc on Glee?

First Look at Damian’s Character, Rory!

Posted by Tinkers on Sep-28-2011 under Glee Episode Previews, Glee Episode Spoilers, Media, News, Pictures

The first pictures of Glee Project winner Damian McGinty‘s character, an Irish exchange student named Rory Flanagan, have popped up on TV Guide! This will be the first of his seven-episode arc, beginning November 1st.

“I am having the time of my life,” he reports. “Rory is living with Brittany, who thinks he is her own personal leprechaun only she can see. “ Sounds like Brittany alright!

Although he will receive an overall warm welcome, not everyone will be pleased with this newbie. “He does a little falsetto in his first song, and Kurt did not like that because Kurt’s the soprano of the group and doesn’t want that taken from him,” says Chris Colfer. At least they’ll still have a soprano when Kurt graduates, right?

Meanwhile, in lesbi-land, Santana (Naya Rivera) “quietly is in love with Brittany,” says Damian, “so she doesn’t like Rory because he also has a thing for Brittany.” Sounds like trouble for Brittana! “We just did a fun scene in Brittany’s bedroom,” says Damian.

So, what do you think of Damian’s character? Are you excited to see his arc? Post in the comments!

Samuel Larsen Hits the Recording Studio

Posted by Bonnie on Sep-13-2011 under Behind The Scenes, Glee Episode Previews, Glee Episode Spoilers, Media, News

Photo Credit: TwitterMusic producer Alex Anders was busy today! Shortly after tweeting about his studio session with Lindsay Pearce, he tweeted, welcoming The Glee Project winner Samuel Larsen to the studio.

We haven’t heard much about Samuel since the show’s finale (other than a cryptic tweet about potentially cutting his hair, likely for his role on Glee), but it’s good to see he’s making headway in the studio, and we are excited to see where the writers take his character.

What would you like to hear Samuel sing on the show?

Jayma Mays Emma Fox PhotoThe new season of Glee brings a new love interest for Jayma Mays’ character, Emma. Played by her childhood crush, Uncle Jesse, John Stamos joins the cast as Dr. Carl Howell, Emma’s dentist and gives Will a reason to fight a little harder for Emma. In an interview Jayma talks Smurfs and Emma’s relationship with Dr. Howell.

“I want boys to fight over me, what girl doesn’t?”

“I totally had a crush on him [when I was younger]. Totally. Like, for sure. And I think he’s an amazing actor. I think he’s a perfect addition to the cast – he’s got pipes, so it’s great!”
