Get the stockings and ugly sweaters ready for Tuesday’s all new Christmas themed episode! To get everyone in the holiday spirit, the Glee Vevo account uploaded two performances from the episode called “Extraordinary Merry Christmas.”
In my opinion, the performances are great and definitely put me in a cheerful mood. I can’t wait for the holidays to arrive!
Here is “All I Want For Christmas Is You” sung by the incredible Amber Riley.
Also, here is “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” which features the entire glee club!
The Elephant Project is currently auctioning off nearly 50 different items for their holiday round of auctions to help benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Included in the round are pictures of members of the Glee cast holding Elephant Project’s beanie baby mascot (because “elephants never forget”), and signed elephants from all of them. Among the Glee cast members are: Cory Monteith, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Jonathan Groff, Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Dijon Talton and creator Ryan Murphy. Jenna even wants to send you a thank you Tweet if you win her auction!
On her Facebook page, Dianna Agron wrote, “I don’t know if you’ve ever lost someone to Alzheimer’s, but I have. Both of my grandmothers. If you feel compelled, and have the money to share… As my Nana used to say, ‘The sun WILL come out tomorrow.’ And then she’d sing the song to me. She couldn’t carry a tune, but it made me smile every time and I love that we will always have our song.”
We want to help raise awareness of the Elephant Project’s amazing charity auctions, so we are giving away a pack of 5×7 pictures of all 10 of the Glee participants. You can view the watermarked pictures of the Glee cast on the pages of their eBay auctions, but our prize pack will include the un-watermarked versions of the photos.
All you have to do to enter to win is:
1) Tweet the following for an entry:
I just entered to win photos of the Glee cast from @ElephantProject & @GleekRob here: http://bit.ly/tDA8oi
2) Get an entry by leaving a comment telling us why you love Glee.
3) Both send out a Tweet and leave a comment, getting you two entries and doubling your chance to win!
Our contest will end Thursday, December 8th at 11:59pm. Be sure to use your real email address if you leave a comment, and be sure to be following the @ElephantProject & me (@GleekRob) on Twitter so that we can contact you directly if you win!
Sunday night I had the amazing opportunity to attend The Trevor Project’sTrevor Live 2011 as a member of the press for GleeFan.com. For those of you who don’t know what Trevor Live is, it’s a charity event which aims to raise awareness and garner support for LGBTQ youth. This year’s Trevor Live was a celeb studded event that was jam packed with skits, appearances, and performances from artists and actors spanning from Amy Poehler to Lady Gaga to Glee’sAmber Riley and Darren Criss.
On the day the event was hosted, I arrived at the Hollywood Palladium unsure of what to expect. This was my first time ever doing something of this magnitude. How does a red carpet work? Would I actually get to interview anyone? My questions were immediately answered once I checked in. I obtained my media pass and was directed towards GleeFan’s reserved spot on the red carpet. It was very cramped as all the press were only allotted a foot an a half of space each! The press to my right was Billboard.com and the media on my left was the official Trevor Project documentary! Not gonna lie, at first it was really intimidating, but as the day progressed, everything became more comfortable. Everyone in our corner was really friendly and we all shared tips and scoop! It was crazy!
The red carpet was very fast paced and combined with our less than stellar red carpet location, it was difficult to actually engage in interviews with many of the Glee Cast. By the time they reached our portion of the press line, their publicists would whisk them inside the theater. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to be able to conduct interviews with Dianna Agron, Kevin McHale, Adam Anders, Damian McGinty, and Cameron Mitchell.
Below is Dianna’s and Kevin’s interviews. Dianna discusses topics spanning from her upcoming project You, Me, & Charlie to her upcoming scenes with Rachel to the new direction Quinn is headed towards. Kevin chats with us about The Trevor Project, a Jackson family tribute, Kanye West, kilts and more!
Hope you enjoy these interviews with Dianna and Kevin! I’m swamped with final exams this week, but I just wanted to get this up before “Hold on to Sixteen” airs because they both give us some inside scoop about the episode! The interviews with Adam, Damian, and Cameron will be up some time next week. Also look out for photos from the event including “funny faces” with Dianna, Kevin, Cameron.
(Bear with me guys! I was doing this all alone, so if the camera is a little shaky or my hand is in shot, sorry!) I still cannot believe this legitimately happened.
The Trevor Project is a figuratively and literally a lifeline for LGBTQ teens. If you are in need of some support, make sure to check out The Trevor Project.
As a huge Star Wars fan, I was excited to check my GLEEonFOX Twitter list and find a Twitpic from Chord Overstreet revealing Chewbacca as the special guest for Season 3′s Christmas episode. Soon after Chord’s twitpic of Chewie in the middle of the Choir Room hit the web, the rest of the cast took to their Twitter’s to broadcast their excitement.
For Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron, and Jenna Ushkowitz the visit greatly impacted their lives.
Kevin tweeted:
So far this has been the best day ever.
Dianna, on the other hand, tweeted:
OK. Day made. Week made, actually.
Jenna took it one step further by saying it:
made my life!
Damian McGinty was equally excited and showed his geekier side:
Just had a serious fan boy moment this morning with @chordoverstreet …can’t believe who i just met!! @druidDUDE is in heaven!!

Stars of Glee have partnered with Vogue to promote the third annual ‘Fashion’s Night Out’, a global fashion event that combines the fashion of top designers with the star power of celebrities with the excitement of reinventing yourself with unique takes on the latest trend. “For the third year in a row, celebrities, designers, and stars will perform and mingle with shoppers as they take part in FNO-exclusive events and snap up special designs.”
FNO will feature designers and brands frequently seen on Glee characters and Glee stars alike, including Anthopologie, Betsey Johnson, J. Crew, and Juicy Couture, among others, during the September 8th event. But before that, Glee stars released a similarly stylish PSA. The PSA, which aired August 23, featured Lea Michele covering David Bowie’s song ‘Fashion’ along with the rest of the cast, in a video designed by Vogue editor Tabitha Simmons.

It looks like Dianna’s gone pink! She was spotted in LA today, walking to her Audi, sporting a new hot pink hairdo.
What does this mean for Quinn? Does this have anything to do with the “completely diff outfit” that Iqbal Theba tweeted about? Post your speculation below!

A recent photo shoot with GQ magazine has stirred up controversy for the racy attire and poses Glee cast members Dianna Agron, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith adorn for the shoot. Major media including Arts Beat for The New York Times, The Huffington Post and Broadway.com have all written on the photos and the controversy that has followed.
The Parents Television Council released a statement slamming ‘Glee‘ producers from Tim Winter, the council’s president stating, “It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualizing the actresses who play high school-aged characters on ‘Glee‘ in this way. It borders on pedophilia. By authorizing this kind of near-pornographic display, the creators of the program have established their intentions on the show’s direction. And it isn’t good for families.”
In the wake of a media news storm, Dianna posted a response on her blog about the recent experience:
In the land of Madonna, Britney, Miley, Gossip Girl, other public figures and shows that have pushed the envelope and challenged the levels of comfort in their viewers and fans…we are not the first. Now, in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?
For GQ, they asked us to play very heightened versions of our school characters. A ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ version. At the time, it wasn’t my favorite idea, but I did not walk away. I must say, I am trying to live my life with a sharpie marker approach. You can’t erase the strokes you’ve made, but each step is much bolder and more deliberate. I’m moving forward from this one, and after today, putting it to rest. I am only myself, I can only be me. These aren’t photos I am going to frame and put on my desk, but hey, nor are any of the photos I take for magazines. Those are all characters we’ve played for this crazy job, one that I love and am so fortunate to have, each and every day. If you asked me for my dream photo shoot, I’d be in a treehouse, in a wild costume, war-paint and I’d be playing with my pet dragon. Until then…..
Can somebody please put Dianna in charge of a photo shoot? It would be epic.
Shelly, one of our LA reps, definitely had a busy summer. Make sure that you’re following her on Twitter (@GleekShelly) as she regularly live Tweets from Glee events. Here is her recap of all the Glee events she got to go to over the summer:
This past summer, I was fortunate enough to attend several Glee events in the LA area. Here are some brief recaps and photos/videos from my adventures. Enjoy!
May 31st – 4th annual Art4Life benefit show at Club Level 3, Hollywood. Art4Life was founded in 2007 by Gina Starbuck, who created the organization to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society in honor of her father. You can find out more about it here: www.Art4LifeLA.com. This was my second Art4Life event (Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, and Dianna Agron hosted last year’s show), and I’ve always been impressed with not only the amazing performances, but also the amount of talented actors and musicians who donate their time and effort to such a wonderful cause. This year’s hosts were comedian Ryan Hill, actress Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and our very own Heather Morris. The trio did a great job of running the show, which included performances by cast members of Wicked, So You Think You Can Dance, and America’s Best Dance Crew. Check out my pictures below:
July 10th – A Conversation with Jane Lynch, hosted by Outfest (the LA Gay and Lesbian Film Festival). For almost two hours, Jane talked to a sold out auditorium about her personal life, her career leading up to Glee, and everything in between. She was, as always, hilarious, charismatic, and engaging. I’ll let the video highlights speak for themselves:
August 4th – Sue Sylvester wax figure launch at Madame Tassauds Hollywood. Jane Lynch, Ian Brennan, and Iqbal Theba were present at the unveiling of Glee’s first ever wax figure. The John Burroughs High School Powerhouse (the real-life inspiration for the show, and the group that was featured on the Glee episode of Oprah) opened the event with a few performances of songs from Glee. They were followed by Ian Brennan, who introduced Jane, and finally by Jane herself, who, like all of us in the press and audience, was seeing the figure for the first time. Here’s a video of Ian’s introduction, the unveiling, and Jane’s reaction:
After posing for photos and doing several interviews with the press, Jane was kind enough to come out and sign autographs and take pictures with the hundreds of fans who had come out to Hollywood to see her.
August 14th – 826LA’s “A Spelling Bee for Cheaters,” Lincoln Middle School, Santa Monica. Dianna Agron and many others were present at this fundraiser for 826LA, an organization dedicated to putting on tutoring and writing programs for children in the LA area. For those of you who are unclear about what exactly the event was, you can read the description and rules here. In addition to being hilariously adorable, Dianna was also the overall top fundraiser. Go Dianna! Here’s a video of her highlights, and some photos I took:
August 21st – Glee Clothing Line Launch at Macy’s, Beverly Center. Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, and Kevin McHale were there to sign autographs for every Gleek who showed up and spent at least $50 on Glee merchandise. The new clothes look awesome, and it was fun watching the cast interact with their fans. I can say with confidence that they’re some of the nicest, most genuine people in the business. Towards the end of the event, I got a chance to talk to Jenna, and when I told her that I was from GleeFan.com, she gave Rob a shout out and recognized me as “GleekShelly!” That definitely made my day and was a great end to an amazing summer of Glee. :)
With the premiere of Glee‘s second season only weeks away, dozens of newly released photos and spoilers are throwing the fandom into a frenzy of anticipation! New York Times photographer Todd Heisler spent five days in August documenting the show at a studio lot and in two Los Angeles-area high schools.
His candid behind-the-scenes photos offer a window into the making of the highly anticipated season two, featuring the making of the Britney tribute episode. You can see Heather in her “Me Against the Music” video, Matthew busting a few dance moves, and even a full page of the episode script! Check out the photos below!

Did I mention I loved this girl? Dianna Agron just came out with the most amazing/artsy/beautiful music video in partnership with Thao and Get Down Stay Down in order to raise awareness about Oxfam America, an organization that works to combat poverty and injustice. Dianna directed the video, adding directing to the list of things she does awesomely (in addition to singing, dancing, acting, editing, photography, picking her clothes, and just generally being beautiful.)

With all the hype surrounding Glee, the actors seem to have no problem landing movie roles: I Am Number Four, the James Frey young-adult science fiction novel-made-movie, will feature Dianna Agron!
The DreamWorks movie surrounds nine teenage aliens who escape to earth after their planet is destroyed. The HollyWood Reporter claims Dianna will play the girlfriend of a mean jock (familiar much?) who falls for the title character, ‘Number Four.’
Michael Bay and Stephen Spielberg are producing the film.
Are you excited? Will you be midnight-premiering this one? I know I will. xP
