Posted by Rob on Jul-30-2010 under GleeFan.com Exclusives

Join GleeFan.com!Attention all Gleeks! GleeFan.com is looking to add one or two more members to its staff. The current staff members are listed on our staff page at GleeFan.com/Staff, and you could be there too! We are one of the most established Glee fansites and we have been running since before Glee even premiered in May of ’09. We have had exclusive interviews with cast members and reported from a great number of Glee events. However, with the massive amounts of Glee news, it’s very difficult for Tinkers & I to find time to post everything. I will be very busy with starting college in the fall and Tinkers will be in her senior year of high school. We need your help in order to make sure that GleeFan.com is constantly up to date with all the latest Glee news, interviews, and media.

We would like to build up a small team of News Posters to make sure that our Glee news is constantly up to date. We are hoping to add a couple writers by September so that we are fully ready for Glee’s Season 2 premiere. As a member of the GleeFan.com staff, you’ll also be a member of our Glee Network of fansites — the staff of which is a close group of Gleeks. :)

At this time, we will be accepting applicants until August 15th, but the earlier you submit you application, the easier it will be for us to review them. We hope that everyone who is interested will take the time to fill it out. Remember that you have just as much a chance as anyone else who applies, so please do so!

Fill out the following application, then copy and paste into an email. Send it to Rob@GleeFan.com! Be sure to put “GleeFan.com Application – [Your Name]” in the subject line. (Ex. GleeFan.com Application – Rob Black)

Academy Event at the Music Box Theater!

Posted by Tinkers on Jul-30-2010 under Cast & Crew, News, Videos

In celebration of Glee‘s 19 Emmy nominations, Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online hosted a panel featuring live performances from the cast and huge spoiler drops for basically every couple on the show!

This event blew up the Glee fandom, spawning twitpics, twitvids, entire red carpet photo galleries, and of course, multi-part Youtube documentations. Most of these are relatively low-quality, but have no fear: Kristin herself, in addition to live tweeting, did a ship-based write-up of the event for E! Online. She then proceeded to do another write-up focusing on returning (and potential!) guest stars and minor characters.

The event itself featured performances of “Maybe This Time” (sans Kristin Chenoweth, sadly), “Funny Girl,” “Beautiful,” “Single Ladies,” “Lady is a Tramp,” “Over the Rainbow,” and of course, a mandatory dance-off between Kevin, Matt, and Harry.

Here’s a 7-minute summary video of the event, via ginaslittlejack on Youtube:

Chord Overstreet Joins “Glee” as Sam

Posted by Rob on Jul-26-2010 under Cast & Crew, Chris Colfer, Glee Guest Stars, News

Update [9/23]: Click here to read about the controversy over whether or not Sam Evans, played by Chord Overstreet, will become Kurt’s future boyfriend.

Chord OverstreetThe long awaited casting decision for Kurt’s boyfriend, Sam, has finally been revealed. The character which has, in the past, been described as Kurt’s potential boyfriend will be played by Chord Overstreet, who is still fairly new on the acting scene. He’s had a couple guest starring roles in shows such as iCarly and the upcoming No Ordinary Family, but Sam should be his biggest role to date. It’s been announced that he will appear in the season-premiere, and Glee co-producer Dante Di Loreto has confirmed via Twitter that he’ll be in “some early new episodes” of Season 2.

In a recent Comic-Con interview with Michael Ausiello, the cast had a few things to say about the upcoming storyline. “Actually, I’ve heard that they might be leaning towards another storyline which would delay that,” Chris Colfer tells Ausiello. “I’ve heard that it might be provocative, though.” Amber speculated, “He may still find love, but he may not have a boyfriend.” Kevin said, “I want to see a boyfriend, though,” which the rest of the cast collectively agreed with. “I think we all do,” Jenna added.

We didn’t know too much about Sam before, but we did know that he’s supposed to be an openly gay football player at McKinley who eventually becomes Kurt’s love interest in the show. Fox’s latest press release has added that he starts off as a sort of protégé to Finn, but eventually becomes his competition. Could this be the storyline which causes the delay for the character’s budding romance with Kurt? Possibly.

To find out more about Chord, visit his IMDB page, check out his MySpace (with a song likely sung by his father), or catch him in the online web series, Private.

Watch with Kristin: Brittany singing Britney and Kristin Chenoweth!

Posted by Tinkers on Jul-13-2010 under Glee Guest Stars, Heather Morris, News

E! Online’s Kristin de Santos is making us squeal again! That woman has it down to an art form.

In her latest spoiler chat, Kristin answered the burning questions of two fans using her endless entertainment intel. Apparently, season two will feature the return of KCheno and the one thing we’re all waiting for: Brittany’s first solo!

Barry in Ohio: Glee please!
How about some Kristin Chenoweth news that’ll make your heart sing?! Our favorite guest star tells us she’s setting her sights on Glee’s second season, and she’s in talks to have her own show. (Anybody remember Kristin? Yeah, it’s not that.) “I’m working on my album with Sony,” the O.G. Snookie (Olive Snook, bitches, yo yo!) tells us. “So I’ll be doing a tour and going back to Glee a little bit and also doing my own TV show.” According to a source close to K.Chen, it’s way too early to divulge any other details, but still, feel free to hug me and give me chocolates for sharing this happy news. No really, I don’t mind.

Maggie in Barcelona: Is that Britney Spears’ themed episode of Glee really going to happen?
As of now everything is still in talks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Glee pulled off a Britster episode in season two. We know one Gleek (and fellow “Brit”) who’d love it, too. Heather Morris (Brittany) tells me: “I heard there’s a Britney Spears episode coming up and fingers crossed that I get to sing, because I play Brittany and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, it’s insane.’” That could potentially be Heather’s first solo…how fitting is that?!

How exciting is that?! It’s been rumored that Brittany will make her singing debut, and also rumored that there’s a Brittany Spears episode in the works. How insane/ironic would it be if Brittany sang some Britney? Post below!

Edit: Thank you to a commenter, for pointing out that I spelled Britney wrong.

Cory Montieth wants a UK tour?

Posted by Tinkers on Jul-06-2010 under Cory Monteith

Cory’s currently shooting a movie with Selena Gomez in Monaco (as you’ve probably seen via twitpics and the like) and he was recently spotted backstage at the Wireless Festival, a star-studded annual gathering including stars like Jay-Z and P!nk.

When approached about whether or not the show would tour in London, Cory responded, “I hope so. I don’t plan these things…I don’t know (but) I would very much like it to happen.” Good news for UK Gleeks!

And when asked the reasoning behind his whereabouts: “I wanted to see LCD Soundsystem and here I am. I’ve had a couple of days off so I was just like, ‘I’m gonna go to London!’” He went on to praise P!nk for her theatrical antics.

Jane Lynch to Cameo on iCarly

Posted by Tinkers on Jul-03-2010 under Jane Lynch, News, Pictures

Everyone’s favorite Sue Sylvester will be making an appearance on Nickelodeon’s teen hit, iCarly! Jane Lynch is said to be taking on the role of Sam (played by Jennette McCurdy)’s mother, who no one’s seen yet but everyone knows exists. Kinda like Rachel’s two dads. When are we seeing them?!

The episode, which films next week, will be a part of iCarly’s third season. Apparently, even Jane’s stepdaughter Haden is pumped for this cameo; she’s such a big iCarly fan that the Nickelodeon show was even referenced in her mom’s wedding vows!
