Harry Shum Interview with Ningin
Harry Shum recently did an interview with Nignin. Make sure to check out the full Q&A because there is an awesome video of Harry Shum freestyling at WCDE Burbank. Thanks to Jinra from Ningin for submitting this to us!
JI: You are a crazy-talented dancer, and it’s obvious that you are quite passionate about dance. How long have you been dancing and how did you get into dance?HS: Dancing definitely fulfills my soul. But believe it or not I didn’t dance much when I was a kid. I actually began dancing in high school when a friend of mine dared me to audition for the dance team. I ended up making it and my passion grew for it after my first performance in front of hundreds of people. So sometimes it’s never too late to learn something. You never know what you may be good at.
JI: From a viewer’s perspective, your character along with the New Directions members, seem to be having the time of their lives just singing and dancing. While it’s obvious you’re working hard, being on Glee just looks like it’s a lot of fun. Is this really the case?
HS: Yes! While some days we have long hours (sometimes up to 18 hours) there is nothing else to cure the tiredness than singing and dancing! I think it is safe to say that we all love what we do and we’re very fortunate to be a part of such an amazing show.

Glee – 1.09 “Wheels” 11/11/09
Here’s a preview for the next episode of Glee, “Wheels”. It doesn’t come on until Nov. 11th… I don’t think I can wait that long! Can you? Three weeks without Glee should constitute as cruel and unusual punishment. In the mean time, keep checking back for more news and videos! :)
Update: There are some fun spoilers for the episode posted after the jump. [Read the rest...]
Popwatch Updates on The Cheno, Julia Roberts and Glee’s Spring Festival Parade
PopWatch has some awesome news for fans of Kristin Chenoweth! She will be returning for at least one of the “back nine” episodes that has yet to be filmed. Also, Julia Roberts is a Gleek and Ryan Murphy is writing an episode (which sounds hilarious) in response to Glee getting bumped from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
We have even MORE Glee news to deliver, PopWatchers: Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) will reprise her role as the boozy glee alum April Rhodes for at least one episode in 2010. (Listen to her sing “Maybe This Time” in the window below.) [Watch on EW.com]
Plus, Glee has gotten the stamp of approval of one of Hollywood’s biggest stars: Julia Roberts. Co-creator Ryan Murphy, who is currently filming Eat, Pray, Love with Roberts in Bali, tells EW, “We’re on location here and she’s watched episodes and has quite enjoyed them.” I could totally see Roberts being a major Gleek.
And finally, Murphy also says that he’s planning on using the whole NBC/Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade snafu into an upcoming episode. Look for the glee club to get denied from having a float in the spring festival parade thanks to the villainous Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch), standing in for NBC.

Lea Michele on the Rachael Ray Show
Lea Michele will be on the Rachael Ray Show tomorrow, October 21st. Thanks to the magic of prerecorded daytime television, here are some quotes and an image from Lea’s appearance on the show!
Lea on who she wants to do a duet with:
“I really love Adam Lambert, and I would really love to sing with him because I think he is awesome…I’m kind of obsessed with him, I follow him on Twitter.”Lea on being followed by the paparazzi:
“They don’t really follow me actually. We’re dorks, we’ll always be dorks…except for when we’re in groups of two. When I go out with Cory Monteith I find that they recognize us the most because they just see this insanely tall guy with this really short girl, and they’re like who are these people. I think it’s because we’re not the kind of kids to really go out.”

Jonathan Groff to be on Glee!
Jonathan Groff is going to have a 5 or 6 episode story arch where he plays the lead male singer in Vocal Adrenaline! Here’s the article from EW.com.
EW has exclusively learned that Lea Michele’s Spring Awakening co-star, Jonathan Groff (seen most recently in Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock) is coming on board Glee for five or six episodes playing the lead male singer of Vocal Adrenaline, the group already seen performing “Rehab” and “Mercy.” Says Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy, “He is a male diva…a miva.” Groff’s character will also serve as a potential love interest for Michele’s Rachel.

‘Bust a Move’ Preview
Here’s a preview of Matthew Morrison performing “Bust a Move” from next week’s episode, “Mash-Up” via Yahoo! TV.
Expect to find next week’s episode of “Glee,” titled “Mash-Up,” to be full of more outstanding musical performances, including a cover of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” (performed by football jock Puck!) and even Sisqó’s one-hit wonder “Thong Song.” But in this episode, the spotlight is off the students and shining brightly on the Glee Club’s intrepid director, Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) — at least in this clip where he raps Young MC’s “Bust a Move,” showing the fellas how a leading man does it.

Lea Michele Profiled in Teen Vogue’s November Issue
Teen Vogue has as an article about Lea Michele and her character on Glee, Rachel Berry. You can check it out on their website or read it in their November issue.
Rachel Berry, the teenaged would-be drama queen at the center of Fox’s song-and-dance series Glee, would pretty much kill to be Lea Michele, the actress who plays her. After all, Lea made her Broadway debut at eight, stepping in as young Cosette in Les Misérables after an open call. “I’d never sung before,” the New York City native says. “My friend was auditioning, and I was like, ‘I want to go too!’ I just took to it.”
She appeared in Ragtime and Fiddler on the Roof and won the starring role in Spring Awakening at fourteen, sticking with the show for almost eight years as it went from early workshops to the Great White Way. (Nothing’s set in stone, but she “really, really wants” to appear in the forthcoming feature film version.) Now 23, she lives in L.A. with Glee costar Dianna Agron (who plays on-screen rival Quinn) and a pair of cats named for two characters in Hair. Meanwhile Ms. Berry, though talented, is still striving (and stuck in Ohio).
